Cupping Technique

Relax and repair with therapeutic cups that detox and increase blood circulation. Cupping Therapy draws out inflammation and waste from deep within the layers of tissue by enhancing the lymphatic drainage system and delivering much-needed nutrients to damaged muscles and skin. It’s beneficial for individuals with high blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, frequent fatigue, chronic headaches and migraines, fibromyalgia, and neuralgia. Acute pain, tense muscles, restricted fascia, and scar tissue can all be alleviated with the use of this modality. Cupping Therapy is an intricate art.

What does a cupping session look like?

Cupping therapy involves the use of round cups, typically made of glass or earthenware, to create suction on the skin. - The therapist applies heat or a small bump to create suction inside the cup, and then carefully positions it on the patient's body. - As the air inside the cup cools down, it creates a vacuum effect, which helps to widen blood vessels and improve blood circulation in the targeted area.

In the initial session, therapists may use 3-5 cups on the patient. However, some patients may prefer to start with just one cup to gauge their response to the treatment. As the sessions progress, the number of cups used may increase up to seven for more intensive therapy.

After the cupping session, red circular marks may appear on the skin, but these marks will fade within a few days. It is important not to be alarmed by these marks as they are a normal part of the healing process
